Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde was an eccentric man. He became a celebrity during his lifetime because of the funny things he said and because of the clothes he wore. He fell in love with a man much younger than him and he was sent to prison for being a homossexual. After Oscar Wilde got out of prison, most of his friends turned their backs on him. He died poor and alone. Check out how funny he was:

"I don't want to go to heaven. None of my friends are there."

"I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying."

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."

"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth."
